Who is Korey?

I took these photos to represent how I always

have plenty of money, or I have none. For the

picture on the left i adjusted the contrast and

cropped the photo smaller. The picture on the

right I changed the brightness and contrast

and darkend some of the highlights that were

on my hands.

I took this photo to represent screen printing.

Not only is this one of my hobbies it is also my

job. I wanted to show how messy it was, while

still showing an artistic side. I brightend the

colors red, yellow and blue. Then i blured the

background to make the squeegys pop out.

This is a photo of my wonderful

girlfriend. We have been dating for

about a year and a half and she has

become a huge part of my life. For

this photo again I adjusted contrast

I also changed the color of the rose

and her eye.

Song Lyrics

This photo series was inspired by
the Hollywood Undead song City.
I took all the photos in a cloudy
setting and one in my basement.
Then i enhanced the colors with
curve adjustments and blur overlay
effects. I also upped the contrast on
some of them. Then i created a new
layer and used the cutout effect for
the backgrounds. I erased and used
the blur tool to eliminate any harsh
edges. I dropped my pictures in the
frame and created a boarder around
them. Finally I filled empty space
left over with the word City (the
name of the song). Overall i liked
the turnout even though it is missing
two pictures from my original sketch.
I think it really portrays the song and
the comic book theme i was going for.

Portraits

This photo is based on a short story called "The Yellow Wallpaper". The story is about a woman who is supposedly insane and isolated in a room with awful yellow wallpaper that haunts her and pushes her farthing into insanity. I modified this photo with different blur tools changing the opacity's on to layer them on each other. This created an uncertainty along this rough edge that draws your eye across the photo. It is upsetting that there is not a crisp edge along the yellow, but that's because there isn't a crisp edge in insanity. Was the woman in this short story insane before the wallpaper? Or did the wallpaper make her insane?

Color Domination

This brown shows rustic and old, it creates a peaceful emotion. I changed the contrast to create harsher lines to move your eye across the piece.

Calm Comfortable Blue. Different shades of blue takes over the rest of the colors in this photo. Also the subject is in a very relaxed state farthing the emotion of calm and comfortable.

This redish orange slide shows excitement. Hopefully this creates an emotion that connects to childhood memories and enjoyment.

Attractive Repulsive

This was my first idea for attractive repulsive. I started by placing bills a picture and a tie on a desk. I used a lamp to light my area creating the feeling of a home office. Then I set my camera on a tripod and focused the frame where I wanted it. Then I put on my suite and used a timer on the camera. This is my favorite picture and I think it shows the perfect attraction of money and being a successful business man, but the repulsion of depression and despair.

This is another repulsive attractive picture because I personally love dried dead flowers over live flowers. I placed a flower that has been drying for awhile over a aqua background. I tried manually focusing on many different parts this was the only one that turned out.

Here is an attractive repulsive shot I set up and took. It is my views on beautiful woman using plastic surgery to "self better" their bodies. I am not belittling either model (they were randomly selected). All together i hate how this piece worked out and I wish I would have used a real model.

This picture shows Repulsive Attraction because many people hate snakes, however I love them. The subject in this picture is Sampsin (sin) and he/she is a year old ball python. I set up a black background and placed the clock however my snake would not hold still. The only picture in focus was with his head cut out. I think all together this piece works because it is unified by a orange tone.

Filtering the Background

My world...

This was my first assignment for digital photography. I started by taking pictures of downtown Oconomowoc. When I finished that i placed them all next to each other, and then copied a picture taken off of nature hill in the background. I smoothed the edges to make it look natural. Then i used polarize edges filter in photoshop to make my planet round. After that I cut out my planet and and used feather to make it look like an atmosphere. I placed light stars in the background along with the moon.
